Our Mission

The mission for the establishment of this institution was to offer a middle income group in Kandy, the opportunity to an academic achievement along with cultural and sporting activity, keeping in mind the need for service to community through an organized but wide embracing curriculum. The development of the whole personality to meet the challengers of a fast changing world in social and economical circles and to cultivate the need to contribution to one’s own motherland is the basic aim of the institution

Aims of the school 

The management and Staff of the school believe that the school should: 

• Provide a happy and safe environment where everyone is valued and respected

• Seek to achieve good relationships with all those involved in the school through mutual support and open and honest communication

• Encourage everyone to aim high and try an achieve their full potential, whether in academic work, artistic work, sports or play

•  Collectively create a stimulating environment which fosters excitement and enthusiasm for learning

• Develop a sense of identity within the school community

• Encourage active participation and involvement in local community and appreciation of one’s own country in the wider world

Springfield teaches the students to; 

• Consider the school which houses different communities and religions as one big family and to be caring and loving to each other.

• To respect, obey and follow the rules of the school at all times to keep everyone safe and happy

•  To acknowledge that good stands ok work is an essential part of school

• That everyone at school and visiting school must be made to feel comfortable, needed, welcome and important

•  That at all time, all are to be polite, respectful and courteous to each other.

• That all religions and social status be given an equal respect and honor
